Regular event – Ampthill Writers’ Group

Do you write stories, blogs, poems, plays or non-fiction? If you’re in or around Ampthill, Bedfordshire then you’re more than welcome to join us. We focus on being sociable, because writing can be a lonely business. So, whether you’ve been writing for years or you’re just starting out then come along. We meet to encourage one another. There are no formal readings, there’s nothing to prepare, just turn up for a drink and chat about your work in progress… or not, because we know that feeling too.

First Wednesday of every month

From 8:00 pm. We’re usually towards the back

In the back room of the Albion pub
36 Dunstable Street

Past event – The Paint Runner, Hereford

Sign up now for Hereford’s happiest 5K 🙂

For 2016, The Paint Runner is now the first colour run to come with added foam!

Because we want your experience to be even more fun and to help make the colours stick, our foam cannons will be at the start and finish lines, ready to cover you in a fountain of froth.

The Paint Runner is your chance to take part in the brightest 5K around and join a party with around 1,400 other Hospice supporters as you walk, jog or run your way through our five colour-blasting stations.

To get you in the mood, Hereford’s very own legendary DJ Roddy Hankins will help get the party started with his participatory stage show and lots of happy tunes!!

The Paint Runner is a family-friendly event celebrating health and happiness while helping St Michael’s Hospice care for patients and their families at a time when they need it most.

The Paint Runner facts:
1,400 participants
5K course
132 Marshalls
1,550 pairs of neon sunglasses
£39,000 raised for St Michael’s Hospice
Oh yeah – and 1.15 TONS OF PAINT

Here’s what last year’s participants had to say:
‘I now know what “drunk on adrenaline” means: the organisation was spot-on and the entertainment second to none. Bringing the rest of the family next year.’

Past event – Rotherham Fake Festival

Rotherham Fake Festival is a tribute-based music event and one of the tour dates on our 2016 UK summer tour.

We’re bringing 3 of our ‘fake bands’ to Rotherham – professional ‘touring-grade’ tribute bands that put on a superb performance. They look, sound and move like the real rock-stars – you have to see them to believe it!

Plus, talented ‘home-grown’ bands based locally to the festival get to play support to our ‘fake bands’ during their afternoon showcase. Come and support local live music.

We work hard to ensure our festivals are safe, secure and accessible, with a friendly environment that caters for all ages. Our giant marquee covers any poor weather and there’s a well-stocked licensed bar inside and a food area outside.

So round up your group or family members and make it a fun packed music day out – come and support live music and party with us late into the evening!
